Hi, I'm Sarah, a qualified and registered pharmacist and nutritionist, with a passion to help people live their healthiest and happiest lives. Health is made up of all aspects of your life, from what foods you eat, medicines or supplements you take, and to how you move and look after your body and mind. Through my extensive training and experience (almost 20 years!) I can help you to optimise your wellbeing.
I currently also have the honour of sitting on the Advisory Board for healthylife.
Let's face it, we are all living busier and busier lives. Whether its studying, working, raising a family or even just maintaining life admin, there can often be very little time life in the day to focus on the most important person in your life - yes, that's you! Are you a busy manager or executive, running (or 'zooming') from meeting to meeting without a proper lunch break? Are you a new mum or dad, and finding you have nothing left in the tank at the end of the day? Through my tailored programs, I offer simple and realistic recommendations, for even the busiest lifestyle. You won't have to sacrifice hours each day - I'll help you set up some healthy habits so you can plan ahead for success, and even be there to guide you when you need some extra support, or when something changes in your life.
Did you know that some common medications (such as the oral contraceptive pill) may deplete your body of essential vitamins and minerals? Or that some supplements may help or even hinder the way your medications are working in the body?
When it comes to health, there is no black or white approach - you are unique, and you have your own health and wellness goals. Through an integrative approach, I can help assess your health and nutrition, and develop recommendations tailored specifically to your needs. Laboratory analysis and tests will assist in discovering more about your unique circumstances, and ensure all recommendations are 100% personalised to help you.
I was always destined to work in the health field. I even remember asking my year 5 science teacher about how paracetamol worked in the body. Being a pharmacist is something I am extremely proud of - it has taught me how to help and guide people with their health and minor ailments, and help keep track of more chronic conditions. It even helps me focus on preventative measures to help reduce more serious diseases. I developed some food intolerances in my mid 20's and was eager to learn more about this. So, sure enough I completed a Master of Human Nutrition degree in 2015. The combination of pharmacy and nutrition allows me to analyse your health and nutrition from a unique angle, and takes into account not only nutrition through food, but also how your medications may be impacting your nutrition, and if any supplements may be helpful to support your lifestyle.
